Air of Japanese bronze urns, from the middle Meiji-era, c.Each domed cover surmounted by a foo lion, the baluster form body mounted with dragon form handles, raised on a circular foot with a scalloped edge. They are signed (simply) to the underside of one flower petal (see last photo). They meticulously incised and cast out of solid bronze.
The last few photos are the listing show the urns disassembled. They are made of several pieces, with detachable handles. They were exclusively made for display, not use. Property from the Collection of Dr. The urns measure is 16" tall, 10" wide, and 6 deep.They weigh about 10 lbs. Overall, the urn are in excellent condition, with a rich and even patina. There are no dents, dings, or losses to the intricate bronze appliques.
