Scarce Pair of Antique Royal Dux Art Deco Lady Busts, Signed Ellly Strobach

  
This listing is for a scarce pair of Royal Dux hand painted and signed by master artist ELLY STROBACH figurines, depicting two art-deco female busts. They are beautifully modelled with one facing west while the other faces east towards her so that they are looking at each other. The facial expressions in a matte finish with piercing blue eyes are a marvel to behold. Gold gilding decorates the brim and underneath the hats as well as highlighting the cobalt blue scarf and bonnet.

They are both in excellent condition with no chips, cracks, crazing or repairs. There is some very slight rubbing to the gilding on the rim edge of the hat on one of the figurines.

Regarding markings, they both have the Dux pink triangle with the impressed "E". One figure has the impressed number 8616 along with the impressed signature of ELLY STROBACH and the impressed word Czechoslovakia. The other has the same except for the number which is 8615. They measure 6 inches tall.
