This listing is for A RARE TO FIND MAGNUM PAIR - (2 X 70cl) - Dr. Christopher Dresser design claret jug circa 1880's style, attributed to Hukin and Heath London, the jug has a silver plated mount with ebonised wood, handle and tapered glass bowl with star cutting to base.

Topped by scallop shell lid lifts. A rare pair of silver plate and glass claret jugs, the style taken from the English Aesthetic Movement designed by Christopher Dresser. MEASUREMENTS: Height 10" x 8" at widest point including lip and handle... CAPACITY: MAGNUM (2 x 70cl) easy.

CONDITION: Both claret jugs are in immaculate undamaged and what looks like not much used condition. There is no damage to the silver plate or hinges and no chips to the glass.

The insides of both claret jugs are clean and clear of clouding. The glass is of the grey colour tone commensurate with age.
