AN EXTRAORDINARILY GORGEOUS RARE PAIR. SENSUALLY FLOWER SHAPED LUMINOUS OPALESCENT or OPALINE GLASS and METAL CANDLESTICKS. MASTERFULLY MOLD BLOWN and HAND CRAFTED. Own a Very Special Matching Set - probably created during the 1920s.

Both are signed on the bottom. Please see last 2 photos which show signatures in reverse. The incredibly talented Pierre D'Avesn (real name = Pierre Girre 1901 - 1990) designed magnificent innovative art glass for Lalique and Daum and other important French Glass Studios. Value of his work continues to rise dramatically since pieces designed by him (especially signed pieces) are extremely scarce.

His pieces are sought after, more and more, because they are extraordinarily exquisite, Museum Quality Design and created with superb workmanship.
