Pair signed Maison Gouffe Paris Louis XV Arm Chairs 1930's Leather Cane Walnut

  
Pair of rare chairs by Gouffe Paris Circa 1930. Both chairs bear the Gouffe Paris plaque on the rear underside. Maison Gouffe was a Parisian furniture maker known for their fine copies of period furniture in many castles and palaces in France. They are all original, some springs were repaired in 1958 and some webbing in 2002. Very good condition, well loved and cared for. There are some lines in the leather and a couple of spots, one chair has a surface scratch to the leather in the front center (see photos) but no losses or tears. The carved wood frame is in very good condition as is the cane back.

One spot of slight damage to the cane on the upper right of one chair. The chairs are 36" high, 16" to the seat, 24" across the widest of the seat and 19" deep. They are in the Louis XV style. Check my other auctions I have many very nice interesting items I will post this week.
