Center medallions feature a classical scene of possibly Perseus holding the decapitated head of Medusa or, more likely, Judith displaying the head of Holofernes. Sconces were restored and one "tail" reattached 20 years ago. Used since to hold taper candles. Not familiar with E F Caldwell?
