A magnificent pair of antique Louis XVI style doré bronze and Wedgwood mounted three arm candle sconces/wall appliques signed by E. Caldwell & Co New York. The Caldwell monogram is prominent on the back. Each sconce has been hand chiseled and mounted with blue jasper Wedgwood plaques with neoclassical scene featuring dancing ladies, circa is turn of the century. Caldwell & Company was the premier producer of lighting and other metal objects during the turn of the 20th century through the second world war.

Clients included the White House, the Rockefellers, Carnegies, and Roosevelts. Caldwell was also commissioned for famous landmarks such as the Grand Central Terminal and the Waldorf-Astoria in New York City. Dimensions: 20" tall by 12" wide by 9 deep.
