PAIR OF EXCEPTIONAL FINE 19thC HUNTING SCENES signed Antique oil Paintings. Superb pair of fine 19th Century oil on canvas paintings of hunting scenes near Henley in Arden Warwickshire. One entitled'Back of the Swan' and'Nutlands' by the well listed artist Sylvester Martin 1856- 1906.

His work is in many collections and institutions. Well composed and detailed painting of hounds, especially and the Hunt in Henley in Arden. There is considerable work in these paintings as one can see, all the hounds have to drawn and painted as individuals as has the riders and horses all members of the Warwickshire Hunt. Excellent' examples of this artist work. Signed and titled both lower left and right - see photo.
