Pair of Antique SUMIDA GAWA 5 1/2 Vases Signed EUC (JLP). This pair of Sumida Gawa pottery vases are in excellent condition with no chips, cracks or repairs. Some signs of use and age. They are fired with a multi-colored glaze on the top portion and the traditional unglazed red clay on the lower portion.

The lower portion also has a raised line patterned effect. The figures on the pottery pieces are done in high relief with a similarly looking man in 2 different poses depicted.

Each vase measures approximately 5 1/2" tall by 3" wide at the widest point. Please see the photos for more details, the impressed signature and the actual condition. There is also some writing on the bottom that perhaps was for pricing or inventory.
