Pair of antique Sevres style porcelain urns / vases. This is a PRETTY PAIR of antique porcelain vase (urns). Each one is ALL hand painted and decorated with 2 miniatures (romantic scene and genre scene from each side), excellent hand painted miniature, each vase is signed lower left E. The exceptional high relief gold gilding decoration, on the neck, around the miniature (medallion) and on the base is outstanding.

Decorated with flowers, music instruments, garlands. In a rococo style and taste. The bronze ormolu mounted is a high quality casting and hand chiseling. Heavy casting, 2 handles with figural heads and twisted, give more elegance and luxury to the piece. Please see photos carefully to admire the beauty of the work.

H : 18 1// inches (47 cm). W : 10 inches (25.5 cm) maximum width. D : 7 inches (18 cm) maximum depth. Weight : 15 lbs (7 kgs) approximately (for both vase). The heavy weight, reflects the thickness of the porcelain and the thickness of the bronze, and this technique was used in the late 19 century.

I detached both vase, cleaned and waxed the bronze to preserve it from oxidation (see last photo). Most of the bronze pieces are stamped from inside with J. G (should be the initials of the artist who made the casting and hand chiseling). No chips, cracks or any damage to the porcelain. No dents or damage to the bronze.

Minor oxidation to the bronze due to age and use. Original gold gilding bronze, with some discoloration consistent with age and use. Clean and ready to be placed.
