Pair of antique " Old Paris " porcelain compote. Europe, likely France, circa 1880. This is a PRETTY and UNUSUAL PAIR of antique porcelain compotes (tazza), done by most probably " Old Paris " or " Porcelaine De Paris " companies. Depicting 2 Chinese figures (sage), a man and a woman, holding a plate on top of the statue.

Resting on a gold gilded highlighted Rococo style square base. The gold gilding decoration gives more elegance and luxury to the work.

ALL excellent hand painted work. The woman is holding a bird in her left hand, the man probably missing something in his hand. Please see photos carefully to admire the beauty of the work.

H : 4 1/2 inches (11 cm). Diameter at the top : 3 1/2 inches (9 cm). I can detect a trace of old restoration at the top plate of each statue, professionally done. Please feel free to ask for more photos. Clean and ready to be placed.
