A PAIR of antique HAND PAINTED miniature oval portrait, oil on ivorine. This is a very pretty PAIR of antique HAND PAINTED miniature of ladies, each is set behind the original convex glass. One depicting a pretty black hair lady, dressed elegant, signed lower right M. Stielen (or Steiler) (see photos). The other depicting a beautiful blonde hair lady, and signed lower right Magnus (see photos).

Both are in the original bronze ormolu frame. The bronze frame is very well decorated, with its original gold gilding.

I put the 2 miniatures into pieces, cleaned the frame and waxed it. I also cleaned the glass. Please see photos carefully to admire the beauty of the work. Total dimensions including the frame.

H : 5 1/2 inches (14 cm). W : 4 inches (10 cm). H : 3 1/4 inches (8 cm). W : 2 1/2 inches (6 cm). No chips, cracks or any damage to the painting. No damage or missing pieces to the frame. Minor bends to the bronze frame.
