Pair Of Antique Hand Painted Miniature/Lovers/Signed/France 1900/Watercolor/Wolf
Pair of antique hand painted miniature. France, circa 1900 (or earlier). This is a PRETTY and ANTIQUE PAIR of hand painted miniature on celluloid, depicting lovers scenes. After the French artist Metzmacher. Emile Pierre Metzmacher (1815 - 1890).
An excellent hand painted work. I detached, cleaned the miniature and the frame (see photos).Both are labeled from the back (see photo). Titled: Le Saut de loup (the wolf jump).
Please see photos carefully to admire the beauty of the work. Frame : H : 8 inches (20 cm). Thickness: 1.25 inches (3 cm). W : 7 inches (18 cm). Wood frame is a marriage of a late period. Painting : H : 4.25 inches (11 cm). W : 3.75 inches (9.5 cm). One crack at the upper right corner of one painting (see photo).Clean and ready to be placed.
