Pair of antique bronze statues, both signed E. This is a very pretty PAIR of antique bronze sculpture, both are signed E.

Picault (Emile Louis Picault) , France (1833- 1915). Depicting 2 soldiers (gatekeepers), both dressed very elegantly, in the 13 century style and 11 century. One titled Archer 13 eme siècle , with a plaque on the base, wearing a feather hat and holding a bow in his left hand and arrows on his back.

Mounted on a circular bronze base, resting on marble plinth. The second titled Esiholier 11 eme siècle , with a plaque on the base, holding a book in his right hand, and a lantern in his left hand, and a sword.

Mounted on a circular bronze base, resting on a marble plinth. Both are in a dark brown patina. I cleaned and waxed them to preserve them for the next few years. H : 15 3/4 inches (40 cm). Diameter at the base : 5 inches (13 cm).

Weight : 10 lbs 7 oz (4.7 kgs) and 11 lbs 8 oz (5.2 kgs). No dents or damage to the bronze or marble.
