Pair Japanese Kutani Chargers MEIJI c1870 Child Musicians Authentic- Fleurman Antiques. Pair of Japanese Old Kutani Child Musician Chargers, or Large Plates.

A fine work of art from the 19. The pair is beautifully modeled and styled in the Kutani style color palette with white background decorated with iron red, red, brown, green, dark orange colors, and extensive fine gold gilding. There are three decorative reserves, one with traditional Japanese figures a 5-member child musician band; bird in flight; and dragon and phoenix. The underside bottom is glazed, with iron red concentric rings and bands. The glazed underside base is marked on the center with Japanese ten-character calligraphy makers marks in iron red.

The rim foot is unglazed. The estimated date is circa 1870, or older, Meiji Period. And 12.0 Diameter X 2.0 In.

(30 and 30.5 cm x 5.1 cm). The Pair of Kutani pottery Chargers is in very good condition, as noted. Condition status may include normal glaze losses, normal rubbing and wear, firing flaws, crazing and fretting. Overall, the pair is sound, having no chips, cracks, or major defects, and having no apparent repairs or restorations.
