Offered here for your consideration is a pair of antique Sevres type porcelain cabinet vases. The vases each have green decoration on a white ground, raised gold highlights, jeweling and gilding to the edges, and hand painted cartouches to the front and reverse. Each vase is hand painted with a portrait of a beautiful lady in 3/4 profile to the front and a cartouche with a landscape scene on the reverse.
Each is artist signed "Luce" in the cartouche. Dates to the late 19th or early 20th century. The pair is in overall good, as-pictured used estate condition with no cracks or repairs. Several of the jewels to the edges appear to be replaced and repainted. There are also some spots of later gold repaint on to the jeweling and the edges.Otherwise, there are some fine and light glaze and surface scratches here and there and other signs of expected light wear consistent with age. Each base is signed with Sevres type interlaced "L"s with a P in the middle.
