Pair Meiji period's Satsuma vases, having a dark blue glaze ground beautifully hand decorated in gilt moriage style, with hand painted mirrored decoration depicting geishas and flowers. One is signed Gonkozan, the other one is unmarked.

Both in good conditions, with age related wear to the gilding, in one there is a manufacturing imperfection (last photo), in the other one there is a small chip to the top, not very noticeable. Diameter at the top: 5.5cm.

Diameter at the widest point: 10cm. Any bright spots in the pictures can be attributed to lighting.
