Ah yes a nice old antique pair of exit lighted signs is up on the block. They measure about 16 inches across by 7 inches in height. At present the light sockets or lighting mechanism is not present. THese simply mounted on the ceiling near an exit. They probably had a low watt bulb which would be located in the base and the light would exit through the glass.
The glass panel simply rests in place... If one wanted to have it mounted on the other way meaning the base resting upside one can simply reverse the glass and exit runs up from the base rather than down from the base....
