JOHN SARTAIN GEORGE MARTHA WASHINGTON PENCIL SIGNED PROOF MEZZOTINTS PAIR 1865. This is a original pair of John Sartain mezzotints published by Bradley Co Philadelphia in 1865. These are a very rare pencil signed proof pair.

I could find no other copies of these prints signed and only found one of Martha unsigned. These are on a Japan type paper that is laid to a thicker paper.

They are as fresh as the day they were made and were never framed. We bought these many years ago in the Philadelphia area. You will never see a better pair! In very nice condition with no faults. Currently acid free matted and shrink-wrapped to 20 by 17inches.
