The matching portraits are of a boy and man (possible Son and Father and or Student and Teacher) framed in two matching very old distressed frames with gilt inset borders. The identity of portraits may be concealed behind the frame, however, I do not want to disturb the frame and backs. Most of the work by Jasper Miles are portraits of family and or close neighbors, thus, suggesting this may be of a Son and Father. The portraits by Jasper Miles are generally painted with a grey background, subjects seated in a Windsor Chairs/Rod back chairs with stencil painted backs with subtle gold accents. Additionally, portraits are of a side view of the subjects. Many have a book in hand. The portraits are estimated to date from the early 1800s to mid 1800s. The portraits are from my Mothers estate, an avid collector of collectible primitive art and furniture. I can provide this information upon request.
