This is a beautiful pair meticulously crafted Japanese Satsuma vases. Both are very intricately handpainted with very fine decorations and everything is accepted with gold gilt paint.
Neither of these have any cracked chips or damaged to them. Just light signs of where validating their age. Both of them are signed Genzan at the bottom. He was a prominent maker of Satsuma porcelain during the Meiji-Taisho period (mid-late 1800's-early 1900s).
Very beautiful pair of vases to add to a private collection. Very hard to find matched pairs that are this old without damage.
Usually at least one gets damaged, broken or lost through the years. Take a look at all the photos to see general condition, dimensions and details.
