This is a fine pair of 19. Century oil paintings depicting two summer scenes of Scotland entitle.

By the eminent Victorian landscape painter. Both paintings are signed by the artist and dated 1860. They hang in fine quality Chippendale design giltwood frames.

As with all of the original antique oil paintings we sell it is offered in excellent condition. Having just been professionally cleaned and re-varnished. James Roberts was a very gifted mid-19.

Century painter from Leeds whose detailed and beautifully lit Scottish landscapes are reminiscent of Sidney Richard Percy. Between 1858 and 1876 James Roberts exhibited in London at Royal Academy, the British Institution, and the Royal Society of British Artists at the Suffolk Street Gallery. (canvas only) 31½cm x 24cm (12¼ x 9½). Good quality Chippendale design giltwood frames.

This is then covered in numerous layers of AirCap bubble wrap, which is the best and safest product of its type on the market.

The entire package is then bound in black shrink wrap (as used by airline companies) and a final later of waterproof cloth tape is applied to all corners, ends and edges. UK clients are also most welcome to collect from us in South Buckinghamshire. We are very aware that not all of clients are in a position to pay the entire sale price upfront.
