Early Pair Oak Handcarved Panels Fragment English, Tudor Roses, Leaves, Etc
Very nice hand carved early English oak panels from wall or furniture, heavy with hangers verso. The front sides feature Tudor Roses and foliage and show all the signs of hand carving. The back sides look machine finished, though - Victorian at latest but could be (and appear) much earlier as a machine saw was clearly used to disengage them from whatever they were connected to, thereby cutting off all the older hand tool marks. Each sized 16.5" long × 3.75" wide x.
