Pair of antique bronze and wood bookends. This is a PRETTY and ANTIQUE PAIR of Art Deco bookends, depicting a bronze peacock, standing on a wooden base. Each bird is signed BAUER. Bauer Austrian artist late 19 early 20 century. Very high quality bronze casting, gold plated finish. Please see photos carefully to admire the beauty of the work.

H : 6 inches (15 cm). W : 4.25 inches (11 cm). Depth : 3.5 inches; 9 cm. Weight : 2 lbs 14 oz (1.3 kgs) for the PAIR.

I detached, cleaned and waxed the wood (mahogany). Cleaned and waxed the bronze.

Wood well preserved, with minor scratches, tiny chips, consistent with age and use. Clean and ready to be placed.
