Antique PAIR of George Maxim (1885-1940) Bronzes of Workers Signed to Base

  

La Filleuse' and'Preneur à priser'. The bronzes are modelled as a male snuff-taker seated on a pile of wheat and seated female weaver reaching for the bobbin she has dropped. Both bronzes are mounted on. Each marble is signed Geo Maxim.

DIMENSIONS: The approximate MAXIMUM dimensions (including the marble base) are: 7 inches / 18 cm wide x 7 1/2 inches / 19 cm deep x 12 1/2 inches / 31.5 cm high. CONDITION: The bronzes are in lovely antique condition and a superb patina as can be seen from the photographs. There are odd minor nibbles to the marble bases which can be viewed in the photographs.
