This is a near pair of Chinese pear-shaped (Yuhuchunping) black glazed vases, each signed on the base with Chinese characters in blue. Dated to early to mid 20th century. The vases are subtly different in feel, one being 36% heavier than the other, and in colour with one having a burgundy tint while the other a bluish tint. The colour difference is much less noticeable in an interior setting and they look very much a pair.
These vases were acquired from the same collection as the black glazed Meiping vase (separately listed). Diameter (max) 12.5 cm.
Weight 975 g & 716 g. Condition: Very good antique condition with some tiny surface scratches commensurate with age.
