DETAILED PAINTED WRAPAROUND SCENE OF PEONIES AND CHRYSANTHEMUMS DOMINATING IN THE FOREGROUND AGAINST A DISTANT MOUNTAIN RANGE AND VALLEY, WITH BLUE PEACOCK AND BIRDS DECORATING THE DISTINCTIVE CREAMY, FINE CRACKLED GLAZE OF GOOD SATSUMA.
BANDS OF GOLD DIAPERS ENCIRCLE THE NECKS OF THE VASES. EACH IS SIGNED AND MARKED ON BOTTOM. EACH VASE 12.25 INCHES HIGH; MOUTH AT TOP 3.75 INCHES DIAMETER; VASE BODY AT WIDEST 7 INCHES DIAMETER TAPERING TO BASE OF 4 INCHES DIAMETER. WEIGHT OF EACH VASE IS 4.75 POUNDS, OR 9.5 LBS TOGETHER. CONDITION IS VERY GOOD, WITH NORMAL WEAR ON THE UNDERSIDE RIM OF THE BASE.
