Antique Milk Glass HP Loving Couple Design BISCUIT CRACKER JAR Signed BOUCHER

  
Antique Biscuit or Cracker Jar. Presented for your consideration is this beautiful antique biscuit or cracker jar. The hand painted base of the jar is made of milk glass with a painted scene on the front and back. Each scene shows a loving couple. In one scene the man is laying down in the ground as a lady in a Victorian era dress looks down at him lovingly.

The other scene shows the man giving the woman a basket of flowers. There is also a dog that can be seen in this scene. Both scenes are very detailed and have vibrant coloration. Each is framed with a green and gold enameled floral border.

This border extends to the top and bottom edges of the jar. The rest of the jar is painted pink with a natural white stripe through the center. "Boucher" is marked along the bottom of one of the scenes.

The jar is finished with a silver plate top and lid. The top edge has a cut out, scalloped design and the top of the lid has an eagle on it. The lid easily comes on and off of the base. Looks to be all original. This gorgeous biscuit or cracker jar would make a great addition to any art glass collection!

Great for every day use! Light bending is around the bottom edge of the lid.

No cracks or chips in the glass. Light wear from age and use. Overall in VERY GOOD condition. Please refer to the photos for the absolute best details.
