Antique 19C Pauline Appert Couple Hunting O/C Landscape Painting

  
Description & Condition: Pauline Appert French artist Born 1818 Up for sale is this antique oil on canvas painting depicting a young couple out bird hunting at the lake. There is a dog in the water that just retrieved a bird and the misty wooded area appears to be early morning. It is signed " P Appert " in lower right and there is a small brass plaque on the frame with the name. It measures 24"by 15" and is in good condition with two small paint chips. One behind the head and one lower center. It is in an ornate gilt wood and gesso frame that measures 33" by 24".
