Pair Of Facing Monarch Of The Glen Bronze Stags Signed Moigniez. A PAIR OF BRONZE STAGS. Each stag with twelve point antlers, modelled on a naturalistic rocky outcrop, each signed to the base J Moigniez, each raised on moulded marble plinth base.
38cm wide, 20cm deep, 75cm high (14.5in wide, 7.5in deep, 29.5in high). Moigniez (1835-94) was born in Senlis, France and was reknowned for his powerful bronze sculptures of animals. These are a later recasting from the original. Being bronze this timeless piece will last forever without rusting and hence is a great investment as it will always appreciate in value.Aside from being aesthetically pleasing and nice to look at they can also become a family heirlooms.
