Pair of antique miniature portrait paintings of a young lady & young man
A pair of antique miniature portrait paintings of a lovely young lady and a young decorated military man. Each painting is in an ebonized wooden frame which has a recessed centralized painting surrounded by a gilded bezel. The painting of the young man has a signature, which is illegible and the other painting is unsigned. The backing on both frames is a thin black paper covered? Board that is nailed to the frame and shows a bit of wear.
Each frame is: 5"H x4"W and the recessed oval paintings themselves are each 2.5"H x 2"W. The condition of the paintings themselves is excellent.
