Pair Arne Vodder Signed Sibast Mobler Danish Modern Chairs Denmark Teak

  

Beautiful pair of Arne Vodder designed armchairs for Sibast, Denmark, c. Both chairs are signed with the Danish Control label, a Sibast label and a George Tanier stamp. Top 5% of Danish chairs.

These particular chairs were ordered in walnut, one of three wood options. The floating seat is reminiscent of Finn Juhl the quality of these chairs is right up his alley. The chairs are sturdy and structurally sound. Some light finish wear scattered.

There are three vintage repairs to the arms where the chair had fallen on its side. The repairs were done very well and when I sanded and oiled the arms, they are smooth and almost seamless. Some color could be added to make them unnoticeable. These chairs sit extremely well and are very comfortable.

Chairs measure 31.5 back height, 26 inches wide at the arm, back arm height 25.75 inches front arm 24.5 inches approximately 23 inches deep, 18-18.75 seat height.
