Pair Antique French Gilt Cherub & Satyr Candelabra Candle Holders Signed Clodion
Fabulous Pair Antique French Gilt Cherub & Satyr Candelabra. They are very heavy - over 3kg each and stand 36cm in height including the base. One depicts a cherub sitting on a rock, draped in a cloth.
The candle holders are naturalistic with leaves and vines. The second is a striding, hooved satyr, again with naturalistic looking candleholders. Please see photos to assess the condition and quality of both items. These form an important part of the description. There is some minor rubbing as you would expect from gilding of this age.
The bases do not appear to be original but suit the items well. Priced very keenly compared to other listings.
