Nuart Frankart Vintage Signed Pair of Art Deco Nude Kneeling Female Figure Lamps

  

This is a classic Art Deco style of lamp with a bronze enamel type of paint finish. The pieces are signed on the back right side of pedestal "Nuart Frankart". The nude figures were very common during the Art Deco period and female nudes were seen as fluid and graceful figures.

Nuart Frankart also made numerous bookends using the female nudes. These lamps were no longer made after the mid-1930's and are rarely seen. These lamps would make a very interesting display for bookends. Lamp height is 9 inches, base is 4 1/2 x 4 1/2. Nude figure is 4 1/2 high.

One lamp has some chipping on the left hand and back corner of the lamp base. The lamps show flecking of the paint on parts of the lamps, as would be expected for their age, roughly 90 years old. A lamp shade holder can be attached that has a screw on base to it. It appears that the lamps have been rewired. Please look closely at the photos.
