This pair of oil paintings is by the English artist Benjamin Herring Jr. The oil paintings are named the Fence and the Hedge. The paintings are each 20 1/8 inches by 11 inches. The Fence is signed on the bottom right corner with Herrings signature and the date 1869.

The Hedge is not signed. On the back of each stretcher the name of the painting and Ben Herring is written.

The paintings are framed in modern matching frames that are 23 by 14 inches. The paintings have some crackle visible. There is no damage or repairs visible on either painting.
