An exquisite pair of gilt-bronze mounted late 19th century French Sevres style cobalt blue cassolettes. Elegantly designed and with hand painted pictures of lovers to the front of the urns and landscape paintings to the back, in a gilt embossed bordered medallion, and signed by the artist. It was commissioned for the'Chateau De Blois', made by one of the licenced Sevres porcelain factories, and initialed'S' under the laureate banner. Well preserved gilt bronze with just the slightest signs of wear, as to be expected and consistent with age. They are part of the condition and description.
